We will be holding our Introductory Hand Papermaking workshop on Saturday, June 9th, 2018.
This course covers the basic materials, equipment, and processes used for making paper by hand. Techniques include basic sheetforming, couching, pressing, and drying, as well as the use of pigments, additives, and decorative inclusions. We concentrate on using commercially-available pulp, but also touch on recycling and use of raw plant fibres.
This workshop will run from 9am to 4pm with a 1-hour lunch break, and will be held at our store in New Dundee. We still have spaces available, so if you’re interested, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
